Minister: Armenia can double agricultural exports to Russia
The Russian market is nothing new to Armenia, Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan told reporters on Friday, commenting on the U.S. sanctions against Russia.
“Traditionally, we exported about 70-75% of our agricultural produce to Russia,” the Minister said, stressing that Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union and Eurasian Economic Union will boost its exports to Russia.
“We can double the exports of fruits and vegetables, processed agricultural products, wine and brandy,” he added.
