Education Minister sums up 100 days of his tenure
Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan summed up the 100 days of his tenure at a meeting with reporters on Monday.
The Minister said that the key directions of educational reforms have not changed, only some approaches were specified.
He presented the plans for the future, among them reduction of tuition fees, implementation of a credit system in high schools, patriotic upbringing of the younger generation. Ashotyan stressed that this year a special attention will be paid to students’ attendance.
Among the problems of the educational sector Mr Ashotyan noted corruption risks in higher education institutions and complexity of curricula.
