Aravot: Prosecutor demands 4.6 years in prison for Ambassador’s son
A hearing in the case of the son of Armenia’s Ambassador to Georgia Yuri Vardanyan, David Vardanyan, took place yesterday in the General Jurisdiction Court of Syunik province of Armenia. David Vardanyan is charged with smuggling and drug trafficking.
According to Aravot, the prosecutor demanded to convict Vardanyan under Article 215 Part 2 of the Criminal Code and to sentence him to 4 years in prison with confiscation of his property as well as under Article 268 Part 3 (2 years and 6 months). In his final decision, the prosecutor demanded to sentence Vardanyan to 4 years and 6 months in prison.
