ICRC confirms: Injighulyan was sent to a third country from Azerbaijan
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has confirmed that Armenian POW Hakob Injighulyan was transferred to a third country.
“On August 26, the Red Cross learnt that Hakob Injighulyan was sent to a third country, the information was conveyed to the ICRC Yerevan delegation, which in its turn informed the Armenian authorities and Injighulyan’s relatives about it,” representative of the ICRC Yerevan delegation Valery Yarmak told Panorama.am.
In response to our correspondent’s question, the ICRC official said they have no information about what country Injighulyan was sent to.
Hakob Injighulyan, an Armenian citizen and an army conscript, crossed the Azerbaijani border and was subsequently captured by Azerbaijani soldiers on the night of August 7-8, 2013.
