Yerevan to have over 11,000 first graders this year
11,100 first graders will go to school in the Armenian capital Yerevan on September 1, 2014, according to data as of August 29.
Gayane Soghomonyan, head of the Department of General Education at Yerevan Municipality, announced this during a consultation meeting on Saturday, introducing data of schools functioning under Yerevan Municipality.
Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan stated on Thursday that Armenia will have 40,000 first graders this year.
