Over 10 people with dengue fever symptoms seek medical aid in Tokyo
More than ten people with dengue fever symptoms have sought medical aid in Tokyo, ITAR-TASS reported, citing the National Institute of Infectious Diseases.
According to the Institute, last month, all the patients have visited Tokyo’s central Yoyogi Park allegedly inhabited by infected mosquitoes.
On the previous week it was reported that two young women from the Saitama Prefecture and a young man from Tokyo Prefecture, who knew each other and also visited the Yoyogi Park, had dengue fever. Thus, for the first time since 1945, Japanese people catch dengue fever in their own country. The area allegedly inhabited by infected mosquitoes in the Yoyogi Park was conditioned.
