Levon Hayrapetyan moved to civilian hospital
Armenian businessman and benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan has been moved to a civilian hospital, Hayrapetyan’s proxy Matsak Poladyan wrote on the Facebook page of “Freedom for Levon Hayrapetyan” movement.
The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia arrested Levon Hayrapetyan, one of the wealthiest representatives of the Armenian Diaspora in the world on July 15. The arrest took place as part of an ongoing investigation conducted by the Russian Investigatory Committee into the activities of one of the local criminal groups. On July 24, the Investigation Committee of Russia brought charges against Levon Hayrapetyan for embezzlement (Article 160) and money laundering (Article 174). His health has sharply deteriorated following the arrest.
