Haykakan Zhamanak: Sargsyan and Aliyev may meet this week
Citing sources close to the Presidential Administration, Haykakan Zhamanak writes that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has given his consent to a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev this week in the Welsh capital Cardiff on the sidelines of the NATO summit.
According to the newspaper, the meeting has been initiated by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
Following the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents on August 8 in Sochi, organized by the Russian President, the Unites States wants to organize a similar meeting so as not to get isolated from the processes. But as long as it is unknown whether Aliyev intends to travel to Cardiff, a new meeting remains in question. Nevertheless, the newspaper adds, Aliyev has already given his consent.
