Open Sky policy: 34% increase in passenger flow
As compared to August 2013, a 34% increase in passenger flow was observed at Zvartnots International Airport of Yerevan in the 8th month of 2014. In August 2014 the Airport served 265,391 passengers against 197,957 of the past August, the press service of Armenia International Airports reported.
The number of flights in the same period rose by 31%. Instead of the 1,726 flights in past August, the number of flights operated in August 2014 was 2,262.
27 airlines operated regular flights to Zvartnots in July 2013, while now their number is 33. Also, most of the airlines increased frequencies to all destinations, which resulted in reduction of air ticket prices.
