Chorrord Ishkhanutyun: Ex-Minister of Energy to be appointed Syunik governor?
Active discussions are underway in power circles as to who will replace governor of Syunik province Vahe Hakobyan. Chorrord Ishkhanutyun reports that besides former governor Suren Khachatryan, the advisor for the President, ex-Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan is mentioned as a likely candidate.
“Members of the ruling Republican Party decline to comment on the issue. In all likelihood, a final decision will be made at a meeting of the RPA Council on Saturday. President Serzh Sargsyan will attend the meeting,” the newspaper writes.
