168 Hours: Non-government forces’ joint rally due on Oct. 17
Sources close to the ‘parliamentary four’ told 168 Hours that Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Gagik Tsarukyan decided at their last meeting that the four non-government factions will hold their next rally on October 17. At a meeting on Friday, the four forces are expected to discuss the issue and announce the date of the rally.
According to the newspaper, Heritage representatives proposed holding the rally on October 10, but Prosperous Armenia and Armenian National Congress decided to hold it a week later.
“ARFD and Heritage have to take note of the decision. It is noteworthy that the issue of Armenia’s entry into the Eurasian Union may be solved on October 10 so it is not surprising that Armenian National Congress and Prosperous Armenia rejected the proposal to hold the rally on that day. Moscow could misunderstand it,” the newspaper writes.
