Haykakan Zhamanak: Who will replace Alvina Gyulumyan as ECHR judge?
Armenian judge at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) Alvina Gyulumyan, who receives a salary of €13,000, will return to Armenia soon as a member of the Constitutional Court and will receive a monthly salary of about AMD 850,000, Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
“At the moment, there are no official nominations for the position of an ECHR judge from Armenia in the contest for the vacancy. This indifference is, however, deceptive and, for sure, there will be candidates in the coming days. It only remains to hope that the candidate who will be selected will deserve the €13,000 salary,” says the newspaper.
