Criminal case opened over Karabakh soldier’s death
A criminal case was opened in connection with the death of Armenian soldier Mher Hakobyan.
The soldier died of a gunshot wound after being shot by Azerbaijani forces in a frontline position of a military unit in the southern direction of the Line of Contact of Nagorno-Karabakh’s and Azerbaijan’s troops on September 18.
The criminal case was opened under Armenian Criminal Code’s Article 104 part 2 point 13 (murder out of ethnic, racial or religious hatred or religious fanaticism).
An investigation is underway.
