Traders stage protest near government building
Armenian market traders staged a protest near the building of government on Tuesday. They were protesting the Law on Turnover Tax which will take effect on October 1.
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received a group of protesters. They continued the protest after the meeting, saying they are not satisfied with the meeting since the Prime Minister said that the law will not be revoked.
The protesters are trying to block the traffic in Tigran Mets Avenue, with police trying to move them away from the roadway.
Protesters say that in addition to resulting in additional red tape, the law will create terrible tax conditions.
