Head of Azerbaijani Islamic party is on hunger strike behind bars
“Head of Azerbaijani Islamic party is on hunger strike behind bars,” reports the Ghafghaz.ir.
According to the message it is the 4th day already that Mohsen Samadov who has been detained is on hunger strike.
According to the source the head of the jail is not only forbidding to visit Samadov, but also refuses to give him paper and pen.
Recently, the MP of Iranian Majlis Mohammad Esmail Sayyidi has touched upon the condition of Islam in Azerbaijan and has noted in particular, “The authorities of Azerbaijan are afraid of expansion of Islam that’s why they press on the Islamic activists. I think that Mohsen Samadov has first of all political bases before being legal.”
