Serzh Sargsyan: Armenia appreciates Greece’s balanced approach to Karabakh conflict
Armenia highly appreciates the balanced and constructive approach of Greece to the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said at a joint press conference with his Greek counterpart Karolos Papoulias following their meeting at the Armenian presidential residence.
President Sargsyan stressed that Greece supports the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group and the proposals made by the Minsk Group mediators.
Serzh Sargsyan expressed his gratitude to Greece for being one of the first countries to recognize the Armenian Genocide as well as for passing a bill criminalizing the denial of the Genocide.
“It is obvious and understandable that today I invited Mr President to participate in the events to be held in Yerevan on April 24, 2015,” Serzh Sargsyan said.
Greek President Karolos Papoulias is in Armenia on a state visit at the invitation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
