Hraparak: SCPEC conducts checks at South Caucasus Railway
Armenia’s State Commission for the Protection of Economic Cooperation (SCPEC) has launched inspections at the South Caucasus Railway CJSC, Hraparak writes.
The reason is the complaints of businessmen about the transportation fares. According to the newspaper, the businessmen began to carry out cargo transportations by automobile transport after the company’s management raised the fares 6-7 months ago.
SCPEC spokeswoman Gayane Sahakyan confirmed the report. “Large-scale checks are carried out at the South Caucasus Railway. In particular, the company’s pricing policy with regard to passenger transportation and cargo transportation is inspected,” she said.
