883 drug trafficking cases recorded this year in Armenia
883 cases of illegal drug trafficking were detected in Armenia in the nine months of this year against 977 cases revealed last year, deputy head of the police department on combating organized crime, colonel Vardan Badasyan told reporters on Thursday.
Mr Badasyan said that the police had set themselves the task to focus on the prevention of drug trafficking, to intensify the fight against drug trafficking, and, what is most important, to prevent import of drugs to the country.
This year, in Armenia, 362 people were subjected to liability for using drugs against 243 last year, the police official said.
