EEU accession will have major significance for Armenia – expert
If Kazakhstan and Belarus ratify the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) agreement in the coming 2-3 days, Armenia will sign an agreement on its accession to the EEU on October 10, political scientist Sergey Minasyan told reporters on Tuesday.
The expert said that the entry into the Eurasian Economic Union will have major significance for Armenia in the context of foreign, domestic and economic policies and in the regional aspect.
As regards the possibility of establishing a customs border between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, Minasyan said that if established, such a border will be only formal. He stressed that Armenia is joining this union hoping to create wider economic and military opportunities for both itself and Nagorno-Karabakh.
