Injighulyan tells about psychological and physical pressure in Azerbaijani captivity
Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received Hakob Injighulyan, Armenian soldier who was in Azerbaijani captivity and was repatriated on Oct. 2, and his family members, the Armenian Defense Ministry’s press service reported.
Mr Ohanyan thanked Injighulyan for his courage and patriotism.
Injighulyan told about the inhumane attitude, psychological and physical pressure against him in the Azerbaijani captivity.
Seyran Ohanyan said that the Azerbaijani authorities use psychological pressure, torture and death threats against captured soldiers to send them to a third country to show that allegedly the conditions in the Armenian Armed Forces are bad and returning to Armenia is undesirable. But Injighulyan, an ordinary Armenian soldier, proved the failure of the Azerbaijani policy, he stressed.
The Armenian defense chief expressed hope that Injighulyan will overcome the stress soon and hailed his willingness to continue military service.
