Membership in EEU creates vast opportunities for Armenia’s economic development – MP
The accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) is creating vast opportunities for the economic development of Armenia, secretary of Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary faction Gagik Melikyan told reporters on Tuesday.
Armenia will get an opportunity for free movement of goods and capital, workforce and investments, the MP said.
“Many European countries can transport part of their goods via Armenia’s territory and this will be beneficial for our country,” Melikyan stressed.
Leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union signed an agreement on Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty in Minsk on October 10. The treaty on Armenia’s joining the EEU takes effect in 2015.
