"The country which for the international community is only a territory for us is a sacred homeland," convey the words of the NKR people the filmmakers of "Karabakh. Peaceful life next to war-ghosts” movie about the Nagorno Karabakh. The film presents the disposition of the residents of Artsakh about the negotiations over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
According to the NKR President Bako Sahakyan, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are familiar with the mood of the NKR society. The President noted that all of the Artsakh territories are secured by the Constitution and, regardless the negotiations, the right of revision of this point in the Constitution belongs only to residents of Artsakh.
The film says, that looked at the NKR capital - Stepanakert is impossible to imagine that the situation at the border is tensed. "Today, Stepanakert has become a modern city. It is a holiday here. The Day of independence is celebrated. On September 2, in 1991, declaration of independence was adopted, which was followed by a brutal war," it is stated in the film.
The authors report that in the NKR the ghosts of past are divided into two groups – dangerous ones and safe ones: "Besides those that are safe ones and who remained in Shushi, there are also dangerous ghosts that are scattered throughout the mountains and valleys in the form of mines."

At the Gandzasar monastery the "Voice of America" correspondents met with Russian tourists who were fascinated by the thirst for freedom of Artsakh. "It’s the first time that we are here, in Karabakh, however we managed to enjoy the atmosphere of freedom in this region. This is a sacred land, which impressed me greatly. I am proud that today I am next to people who are willing to shed blood for their freedom. These are native Armenian lands, how can on give them to Azerbaijan? It's just a crime against the people," said one of the tourists.
The film also says that the people of NKR rely only on themselves and the Army of Artsakh. "These people that live their everyday life, do not even remember that are a part of an unsettled problems," the authors note.
