Andrzej Kasprzyk: Violations of ceasefire regime at the line of contact have decreased compared with beginning of August
Cases of ceasefire violations on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces and on the border continue which increases the risk of escalation and keeps the tension on the highest level, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk told to the Azerbaijani news agency "Trend".
According to him, the cases of ceasefire violation compared to the end of July and the beginning of August have decreased.
Kasprzyk noted that the OSCE Minsk Group in a recent statement called on the parties to reduce the tension and to refrain from violence against the civilian population in particular.
"I and our team in accordance with the mandate will continue to monitor the situation on the contact line, and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs will continue to work on reducing the tensions and assisting the resolution of this conflict in a peaceful way," said Kasprzyk.
