Armenian Ombudsman, EU Ambassador discuss national human rights program
Armenian Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan met with head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea.
They discussed cooperation in human rights protection in Armenia.
Karen Andreasyan and Traian Hristea also spoke about the Armenian national human rights program, its implementation and monitoring, the Ombudsman’s Office reported.
The Ambassador hailed the activities of the Ombudsman and his staff in protection of human rights and voiced willingness to deepen the cooperation.
Mr Andreasyan, for his part, praised the EU delegation’s role in the strengthening of democratic values and protection of human rights in Armenia and highlighted the importance of deepening the bilateral collaboration.
