Serzh Sargsyan visits Shirak and Lori provinces
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today paid working visits to Shirak and Lori provinces, the presidential press service reported.
In Shirak province, Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening of Varduhi School of Arts in Gyumri. He toured the building of high school-college after Oyunjanians, familiarizing himself with the activities of the educational institution and the programs of the school of arts designed for 300 pupils.
In Lori province, the president visited Spitak’s poultry factory where he became acquainted with investments, the factory’s work and development programs.
The former poultry factory, one of the largest in the region, was completely destroyed by a devastating earthquake in 1988.
A new poultry factory with modern production lines was built over the past year. Its operation will allow increasing local poultry production by 25%. Besides, the factory will employ about 220 families.
