Paris talks discuss Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
The Paris talks on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have completed. The talks were initiated by French President Francois Hollande.
After tête-à-tête meetings with the French leader Monday morning, the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan held a meeting with the participation of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk. Then Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev had a tête-à-tête meeting, the press service of Armenian President reported.
The results of talks were discussed late in the evening at a meeting of Francois Hollande, Serzh Sargsyan, and Ilham Aliyev, with the participation of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Igor Popov (Russia), James Warlick (U.S.), Pierre Andrieu (France), and Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The sides highlighted the importance of continuing the dialogue within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group and the efforts to strengthen confidence. They stressed that there is no alternative to a peaceful settlement of the conflict. An agreement was reached to continue the talks.
The French President gave a dinner in honor of the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders at the Élysée Palace in the evening.
