Gay Star News: In Baku girl slits throat of her sister as latter turns out to be lesbian
Azerbaijani police have arrested a woman who killed her sister after she found out she was a lesbian, Gay Star News reports.
As it is noted in the article Günel Nuriyevani, 20, had her throat slit last week by her younger sister at their home in the capital Baku.
According to preliminary investigations, Parvana Nuriyevanin, 19, stabbed Günel then slit her throat after a struggle. She studied piano at a music school, reads the article.
“She often came home with lesbians and slept with them in our mother's bed. When I found out about it, I asked her to stop, but she did not,” Parvana told police, “A demon took over my body and told me in my dreams that the time had come to kill my sister.”
Police said the girl was murdered for her sexual orientation.
“This is a hate crime against LGBT people,” stated LGBT Azerbaijani Alliance.
