Alaverdyan: Trial of Azerbaijani saboteurs is in line with international law
The trial of two Azerbaijani saboteurs, in Nagorno-Karabakh capital city Stepanakert, is in conformity with international law, Larisa Alaverdyan, executive director of Foundation against the Violation of Law (FAVL), told reporters on Wednesday. She noted that the legal norms in Nagorno-Karabakh are identical to those in Armenia.
No human rights organization was present at the trial except for Foundation against the Violation of Law, Ms Alaverdyan said. “Issues related to humanitarian law must be at the focus of our human rights defenders,” she stressed.
She added that the saboteurs partly admitted their guilt.
