US State Department: US encourage sides to take constructive steps to resolve Nagorno Karabakh conflict
“The USA continue to encourage the sides to take constructive steps to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” Spokesperson Jen Psaki stated at the Daily Press Briefing referring to the question about Armenian, Azerbaijani and French presidents’ summit in Paris this week.
“The sides can build on the momentum generated during the President’s three meetings this year by adopting measures that builds trust and confidence, and certainly that can be done through dialogue,” stated Psaki.
She added that Secretary John Kerry also had meetings with Armenia and Azerbaijan presidents in Wales this year and they can also enter into a genuine negotiation process to advance a peaceful and lasting settlement to the conflict.
