Minister notes considerable changes in notarial system
Considerable changes took place in the notarial system of Armenia in recent years, Armenian Minister of Justice Hovhannes Manukyan told reporters on Friday.
Speaking about corruption risks, the official said he does not think that corruption is high in this domain.
“Maybe it was so formerly, but the situation in the notarial system has changed now,” Mr Manukyan said, adding that a Notarial Chamber was set up to deal with lawfulness and ethical aspect of notarial activities.
Meanwhile, the Justice Minister admitted that this domain is facing challenges that have to be dealt with at the legislative level.
