Parliamentary working group to deal with Electoral Code amendment
A working group has been created in the parliament on the initiative of Orinats Yerkir parliamentary faction to deal with the amendment of Armenia’s Electoral Code, member of the faction Hovhannes Margaryan told reporters on Friday.
The amendment will focus on a switchover to proportional representation, Margaryan said.
“The body will convene its first meeting on Monday. It consists of representatives of Prosperous Armenia, Heritage, and ARF Dashnaktsutyun. Republican Party of Armenia and Armenian National Congress are not participating in the work of the group,” the parliamentarian noted.
