Israel used US-made warplanes to bomb Gaza – analyst
A political commentator says the Israeli regime has used US-made advanced warplanes to kill civilians in its recent military aggression against Palestinians.
Yuram Abdullah Weiler, a columnist for the Tehran Times Daily from Denver, told Press TV that the Tel Aviv forces used the military equipment to kill civilians during its recent war on the besieged Gaza Strip.
“The United States should not be delivering these weapon systems to the Israeli entity,” Weiler said.
The United States has agreed to sell Tel Aviv 25 more stealth military aircraft, bringing to 44 the total number of F-35 warplanes the Israeli regime has ordered.
During the latest military aggression against the Gaza Strip in summer, Tel Aviv used the warplanes to kill over 2,000 Palestinians and destroy thousands of their homes.
Israel has launched three major military offensives against Gaza since 2008.
Israeli occupation forces have also used lethal and internationally banned weapons in their recent wars of aggression against the Palestinian people.
Washington pays Tel Aviv $3 billion a year in military aid.
The political commentator also strongly criticized the United States for flouting international law over weapons-related declarations and treaties, suggesting that Washington increase its control of arms supplies to Israel.
Weiler concluded that some within the United States now brand Israel a “liability” to their country’s national interests and are starting to push back against this aggressive entity.
