Political scientist: Even for work in the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan is impossible to find qualified personnel
There is a confrontation in the highest echelons of power in Azerbaijan, stated Arastun Orujlu, the director of the research center of "East-West" in the interview given to the portal "Echo of the Caucasus”.
He noted that the head of the presidential administration Ramiz Mehtiyev, speaking in front of the representatives of the executive body, stated that there is a personnel problem in Azerbaijan.
"That is to say noted directly that he was not able to find for the president's administration or even for the ministries a highly qualified personnel with the skills of management in the world of modern politics. It certainly was a sensational statement, because Azerbaijani officials had not made such a confession," said the expert.
Orujlu also noted that just four days later, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, said quite the opposite at the Global Youth Forum,.
"These statements are indirect evidence that the government of Azerbaijan is gradually being divided. That is, whatever the head of the presidential administration said is a complete rout of the policy pursued by Ilham Aliyev, because he spoke about other things," said Orujlu, stressing that ultimately, it was hard to find qualified employees even for the Administration of the President.
He also told that today in Azerbaijan the issue of political prisoners is relevant – there are too many of them there. Moreover, virtually all the leading figures of civil society today are behind the bars.
"The charges are standard – tax evasion, concealment of incomes, illegal business activities and the like," stressed the expert, and noted that even the President Obama spoke about the situation in Azerbaijan, and the US State Department for the first time openly demanded the release of political prisoners.
