Carrefour to open in Armenia in January 2015
Armenian Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan on Tuesday met with Carrefour Armenia Country Manager Christian De Nale and General Manager of Marketing Laurent Nazet, the press service of Agriculture Ministry reports.
The sides discussed issues related to the opening of a Carrefour hypermarket in Yerevan.
Mr Karapetyan stressed the importance of opening a Carrefour hypermarket in Armenia for both the local manufacturers and consumers.
Christian De Nale said that a Carrefour hypermarket will open in Yerevan in late January 2015. He noted that local production will have a large share in Carrefour, with 95 percent of agricultural products to be purchased from Armenian producers.
Sergo Karapetyan offered to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in the future.
