Office of Tourism in Artsakh refutes disinformation of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and reports about its success at London exhi
Recently the Azerbaijani media spread untrue statements of Hikmet Hajiyev, representative of the press service of Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, saying that participation of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic in the world famous exhibition “World Travel Market” held in London has been stopped.
As far as the Armenian side was promptly publishing photos showing the presence of the Artsakh pavilion at the exhibition in London, the Foreign Ministry press service of Azerbaijan issued a new statement, saying that the presentation of the NKR pavilion was “partially” suppressed, and was joined with the Armenian pavilion. However, the reality is that, as it was previously, the Artsakh bench has originally been part of the Armenian pavilion.
Artak Beglaryan, the spokesman of the Prime Minister of the NKR, reported on their participation in London exhibition through his official channel on Twitter. He refuted the disinformation of the Azerbaijani side and confirmed the successful participation of the NKR delegation at the exhibition.
It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijani side made an unsuccessful attempt of provocation, wrapping up with the Azerbaijani flag just next the NKR stand. This can clearly be noticed in the photos disseminated by the Azerbaijani media.
As Sergey Shahverdyan, the Head of Tourism at the NKR Government who is currently at the exhibition in London, reported in an interview with Panorama.am, Azerbaijanis’ provocation was failed completely.
"We give away a lot of booklets which tell about the potential of tourism in Artsakh. Those who visit our pavilion at the exhibition are very curious. We also plan to organize a traditional treat for the visitors of our pavilion," said Sergey Shahverdyan.
