Zhoghovurd: Trio and RPA may start political talks
The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the three non-government parties may soon announce the start of political talks, Zhoghovurd newspaper has learnt.
“The sides may also announce that they have reached an agreement. Specifically, RPA will decline to change the presidential model of governance, but will agree to proportional representation and as a result of this, the Electoral Code will be amended.
“The talks are expected to be completed by the end of this year. In this case, in February 2015 the parliament may approve the amendments to the Electoral Code and Constitution. A constitutional referendum will be set for mid-April and parliamentary elections may be held in late June,” the newspaper says.
