Russian official accidentally shot to death by friend, Armenian businessman
Deputy Head of Moscow Department of the Russian Federal Migration Service Nikolai Azarov died on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reported.
He was accidentally shot dead by a friend, an Armenian businessman, while hunting in Yakutia.
Citing a source in the law enforcement bodies, TASS reports that Azarov’s friend, Armen Zakaryan, who is the head of MCITY Development construction company, accidentally fired a shot from a rifle in the car. Azarov died of the wound on the spot.
Armen Zakaryan was detained. A criminal case was opened. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
