Haykakan Zhamanak: Carrefour creates tense situation among local producers
The activities of French Carrefour hypermarket chain that will launch in Armenia in late January next year are taking place in a rather strained atmosphere, Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
“Domestic producers say that the terms Carrefour offers to consume their products make their business senseless. It demands a 25-percent discount to take their products, but it reduces the rate to 20-22 percent during the negotiations. Producers and supplies claim that in this case, they not only will gain no profit, but will work at a loss,” the newspaper says.
