Hraparak: Serzh Sargsyan, Gagik Tsarukyan reached no agreement
Citing its sources, Hraparak writes that President Serzh Sargsyan and Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan met at the Presidential Palace last Saturday.
“The sides, however, did not reach an agreement because Gagik Tsarukyan was concerned not about the 12-point demands presented by the non-government parties, but rather about the constitutional reforms. Tsarukyan is said to have started demonstrating ambitions and hopes to run for president, particularly given the fact that as the same source claims, before Hovik Abrahamyan’s appointment as Prime Minister, Tsarukyan did not mind being appointed PM, but Serzh Sargsyan did not agree. During the Saturday’s meeting, the sides reached no agreement. Serzh Sargsyan said that there is no alternative to constitutional reforms and they agreed to meet again in ten days, in mid-November, to discuss the matter,” the newspaper says.
