Francois Hollande to visit Armenia on April 24, 2015 – Ambassador
I am proud and happy to have been appointed Ambassador to Armenia, new Ambassador of France Jean-François Charpentier told reporters on Wednesday.
“Armenia is an important country for France, a country with which we have been cooperating for a long time,” said the Ambassador.
Mr Charpentier said that the Armenian-French political dialogue is at the highest level. He added that three French Presidents – Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande – have visited Armenia.
The envoy stressed that France will maintain this tendency and said that French President Francois Hollande will visit Armenia on April 24, 2015, on the occasion of the Armenian Genocide centenary.
Jean-François Charpentier also highlighted the need to intensify economic cooperation between Armenia and France.
