Haykakan Zhamanak: Armenian gas prices will rise?
Haykakan Zhamanak’s sources at the Armenian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources say that the Ministry has serious concerns about a possible increase in the price of Russian natural gas supplied to Armenia.
According to the agreement signed with Gazprom at the end of last year, the price of gas supplied to Armenia shall remain unchanged in the next five years, but there is a reservation that the price is directly linked to the domestic prices in Russia.
If the domestic prices rise in Russia, the price of gas supplied to Armenia will also go up. The gas price may change in the spring of next year already, the newspaper says.
