Bill on Armenia’s accession to EEU approved by Russian government commission
The Russian government commission on lawmaking approved the bill on the ratification of the treaty on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), according to the cabinet website.
The bill, submitted by the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Economic development, will be considered at a cabinet meeting.
The entry of the treaty into force will ensure Armenia’s involvement in the EEU from January 2, 2015, and will enable to reduce the exceptions and limitations to mutual access to markets of member countries, according to the report.
Thus a foundation is laid for further development of trade and economic ties, improving competitiveness of local producers, and strengthening of EEU member countries’ positions in global markets, the report says.
