On November 18, Armenian Minister of Economy Karen Chshmaritian received Canadian Ambassador to Armenia John R. Kur.

Emphasizing the importance of the development of Armenian-Canadian trade and economic relations, Minister Karen Chshmaritian expressed confidence that joint efforts will contribute to deepening and expansion of relations, in particular establishing air communication between the two countries, in the field of agriculture, investment, and mining. Mr Chshmaritian highlighted the issue of creating innovation system by using Canadian experience.

Thanking the Minister for the meeting, Ambassador John R. Kur noted that for further strengthening of Armenian-Canadian trade relations high-level delegations’ visits are expected to Armenia and Canada in 2015 to exchange experience in trade, investment, agriculture, and innovation fields.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to discuss and give official statements on arrangements at the level of working groups, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reported.
