Azerbaijani delegation kicks up fuss in Batumi during Civil Society Forum
Today, in Batumi, at the Civil Society Forum held in the frameworks of the "Eastern Partnership" EU program, the Azerbaijani delegation kicked up a scandal, "Haqqin.az" writes referring to the "Yeni Musavat" newspaper.
Czech organization “People in Need” posted in lobby posters criticizing the human rights violations in Azerbaijan, in response the Azerbaijani delegation made a scandal and started tearing posters. As a result of the incident, the representatives of the Czech Republic called the police.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Czech Republic Farid Shafiev hastened to accuse the “People in need” organization in its "pro-Armenian disposition." As "Trend" reports, the Azerbaijani ambassador explained his disposition by the fact that one of the founders of the organization - Eromir Shtetsina had previously visited the NKR.
The annual civil society forum of the "Eastern Partnership" held in Batumi is attended by representatives of - Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia and Ukraine, as well as EU NGOs.
