Karabakh President posthumously awards MI-24 helicopter crew
Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan on Saturday signed a decree awarding posthumously Medal for Courage to the crew of the MI-24 helicopter shot down by Azerbaijani forces during training flight on November 12.
The crew included Major Sergey Sahakyan, Senior Lieutenant Sargis Nazaryan, and Lieutenant Azat Sahakyan.
The Armed Forces of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic carried out a special operation on Saturday at the crash site of the Nagorno-Karabakh’s MI-24 helicopter downed by Azerbaijan on November 12. As a result of the operation, the body of one crew member, the remains of two pilots as well as some parts of the helicopter were removed from the crash site.
