Downed helicopter pilots to be buried in Yerablur Pantheon
A memorial service for the pilots of the Karabakh’s MI-24 helicopter will be held in St. Sargis Church in Nor Nork on Monday. Their bodies will lie in state in the church from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry said.
The pilots’ bodies will be moved to Yerablur Military Pantheon on Tuesday, at 1:00 pm.
A mourning rally will be held at Yerablur Military Pantheon on Tuesday, at 2:00 pm, after which the funeral will take place.
On Saturday, the Armed Forces of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic carried out a special operation at the crash site of the Nagorno-Karabakh’s Mi-24 helicopter downed by Azerbaijan on November 12. As a result of the operation, the body of one crew member, the remains of two pilots as well as some parts of the helicopter were removed from the crash site.
