US waging systematic warfare against blacks - American cleric
The United States has waged “systematic warfare” against African Americans, says a cleric from Washington.
Imam Mahdi Bray, with the American Muslim Alliance, said in an interview with Press TV that the US administration and institutions are deeply involved in a long and vicious war against the people of color in the United States.
When it comes to dealing with “people of race and color,” there is “state warfare in America,” he stated.
The cleric added that the warfare is systematic and has gone in the United States for a long time.
The commentator also ruled out the possibility that the US government will initiate an honest dialogue to tackle the issue of discrimination against the black people.
He also referred to the protests in Ferguson, Missouri, and said that the popular anger is a direct result of the racist and discriminative policies of the US government against the black community.
Protesters took to the streets across the United States after a jury decided not to indict a police officer who shot dead unarmed black teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson on August 9.
Saint Louis County prosecutor Robert McCulloch said on November 24 that Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson would not face charges for killing 18-year-old Brown.
The fatal shootings of black people have reopened a fierce national debate in the United States on police brutality in dealing with minorities.
