Winter forecast to be warm in Armenia - meteorologist
In the coming winter, the average monthly air temperature in Armenia will be above the norm by 1-2 degrees Celsius, Gagik Surenyan, head of Meteorological Forecasts Department of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring State Service of Armenia’s Emergency Situations Ministry, told reporters on Saturday.
“The precipitation quantity will be above the norm. The winter will be warmer than normal,” said the expert, adding that the winter will be snowy.
It will be warm in the first ten days of December, but then the weather will get colder, he noted.
“Currently, there is snow cover in all parts of the country except Syunik province and Yerevan,” Surenyan added.
