Armenia ranks 94th in Corruption Perceptions Index
Armenia ranks 94th-99th among 175 countries in the Corruption Perceptions Index 2014 released by the Transparency International, Executive Director of Transparency International Anti-Corruption center Varuzhan Hoktanyan told reporters today.
Denmark is in top of the ranking, followed by New Zealand and Finland.
Transparency International publishes the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) annually ranking countries by their perceived levels of corruption, as determined by expert assessments and opinion surveys. The CPI generally defines corruption as "the misuse of public power for private benefit.” The CPI ranks countries on a scale from 100 (very clean) to 0 (highly corrupt).
