Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, in Basel, met with the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassadors Igor Popov (Russia), James Warlick (United States), Pierre Andrieu (France), and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

Edward Nalbandian drew the mediators’ attention to Azerbaijan’s intensified bellicose rhetoric, statements that distort the nature and content of the negotiations, gross violations of the ceasefire that cause casualties, as well as the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and at the Line of Contact between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan as a result of the downing of a Nagorno-Karabakh helicopter carrying out a training flight. 

The sides continued the discussions on the opportunities for advancing the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.

Edward Nalbandian reaffirmed that Armenia will continue the joint efforts with the mediators to find a peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
